Le Marie, located at the village of Barge, is the leading wine producer of the Pinerolo region. Besides working with Nebbiolo and Arneis, they are also one of the only producers of Malvasia Moscata in Italy. The traditional method sparkling wines are also truly unique and amazing, do not miss out on their sparkling rose, which is a field blend of 14 different grape varieties and aged 75 months on lees!

Pinerolo is one of the few Italian wine terroir characterized with schist soil. Schist soils are generally flaky, retain heat well, and create some of the world's biggest and boldest reds (e.g. Duoro and Priorat), at Pinerolo, because of the alpine cool climate, the wines are rich, flinty, but elegant.
