Collection: Ori Marani, Shida Kartli Region

Tucked away in the village of Igoeti, in Georgia's historic Kartli region, Ori Marani is a small, family-run winery that beautifully marries French expertise with ancient Georgian winemaking traditions. The name "Ori Marani" fittingly means "Two Wineries" in Georgian, a nod to the dual heritage of its founders, French-born winemaker Bastien Warskotte and his Georgian wife, Nino Gvantseladze. Since its establishment in 2017, this artisanal project has focused on producing authentic still wines and premium traditional-method sparkling wines.

What sets Ori Marani apart is its unique "fusion" style, crafting wines that are both complex and terroir-driven. Warskotte employs a low-intervention approach, using native yeasts and a combination of Georgian qvevri (large clay vessels buried underground) and old French oak barrels. The result is a range of distinctive wines, from elegant sparkling varieties like the "Laora Rosé" to expressive still wines from rare indigenous grapes such as Chinuri and Shavkapito, all of which highlight the vibrant potential of modern Georgian viticulture.
