Run by the mother and son team Elaine Delalot and Jérôme Lefèvre, Champagne Eliane Delalot is one of the smallest cult winery in Champagne. They only farm 1.07 ha of vineyard in the villages of Saulchery and Charly-sur-Marne.
 
Eliane is the eighth generation of grape grower in her family. Even before the vineyards were organic certified in 2010, most of the vineyards have never had a tractor in them and everything is done by manual labour (e.g. pull or hoe the weeds out instead of spraying).
 
The vineyards are located at the far west end of Vallée de la Marne. This is Pinot Meunier kingdom, with more than 70% plantings in the villages. This is mainly because the bud break of Meunier occurs later than Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, making it less prone to frost damages in this cooler climate within Champagne.
