Attractive colour of yellowish copper. Pear, apple, fig on the palate, supported by peaty and smoky notes. Deep and concentrate, thanks to the old vine.
Made from a plot of old vines around 50 years old, Impressions is very different from other Pinot Meunier Champagnes. It has an elegant and straight structure, a "verticality" which is rarely found elsewhere. Eliane used both the cuvée and tailles to retain the entire flavour profile of Pinot Meunier, and local champenoises barrique was used for the ageing to give not oaky but some smoky and peaty notes.
