The flagship wine of the estate. From a plot of low yielding, 100 years old Riesling vines on a windy and 70-90% inclination site. Slate soil. The site was abandoned by the family because it is too steep to work with for decades before Florian restored it around 10 years ago. The most linear and mineral of the 3 GGs (Fass 11, Fass 13, Fass 18).
Sarah Wong, SCMP: Restrained floral aromatics with honeysuckle and mineral notes. Round, off-dry, pure and tight acidity with a long, intense finish. Refreshing and youthful.
