The flagship wine of the estate and the ultimate expression of Timorasso. "Pitasso" is a 2 ha vineyard with 40 years old Timorasso vines. Fully ripen grapes are pressed softly, rack off and fermented. This is an intense, constant, and long lasting wine which is capable to improve for over 15 years.

About Timorasso: Timorasso is an ancient grape variety grown in the Colli Tortonesi region in Piedmont, Italy. It nearly extinct in the 1980s, most farmer and winemaker prefers to plant the higher yielding and easier to handle Cortese (more priced at that stage because of its fame from Gavi DOCG). Timorasso was famously revived by the tireless work of Walter Massa and top winegrowers like Mariotto.
Food pairing suggestions: Full-flavoured fish soups and cheese, roasted white meats, meat pâté and vegetable pies. We really enjoy drinking Pitasso on its own as a "meditation" wine, thinking about how exciting the boutique wine world can be.
