Wine style: Classic Barbaresco, with good freshness but tremendous palate weight and complexities.

Wine making: Organic since 2008, certified in 2017. Late harvest (in the middle of October), 10 weeks maceration and malolactic fermentation under skins. Aged in 1,000 Liters large barrel for 4 years and then 2 years in the bottle. No sulfites addition during fermentation and maceration.

In 1900, the Nada family famously brought a vineyard in Cru Casot from Gaja, and soon later, they acquired one of the best parcel in Cru Marcarini (at the other side of the ridge from Casot).
The oldest vines in Cru Marcarini were planted in 1936 (75 years old in 2011), one of the oldest in the whole Treiso. Grapes from this old plot was always blended with fruits from younger vines to make Giuseppe Nada Barbaresco Marcarini, but in 2011, the family decided to make a special reserve entirely from the 1936 vines and therefore, 1283 bottles of Reserva "Mai Più" were bottled.
"Mai Più" means "Never Again". This is a wine which is non-repeatable as the old vines were replanted after the 2011 vintage...
