Au Pied Du Mont Chauve, a Chassagne Montrachet based domiane from Burgundy, is run by Francine Picard. The Picard name needs almost no introduction. It is one of the biggest wine making family in Burgundy, who owns Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet.

Francine takes over her father's small vineyard after working in finance and business. She cultivates her 35 hectares vineyard, including some very fine vineyards in Chassagne and Puligny-Montrachet. She turns the vineyard to biodynamic with less human intervention, aiming to show the true terroirs. Vines are average 50 years old, making wines with great concentration and depth - and this also means a very small production! Among such tiny production, Francine only chooses 30% of the top grapes making the APMC label. The production of some top wines are less than 1,000 bottles.
